The National Association for Health and Fitness (NAHF) honored the company with the National Exemplary Health and Fitness Leadership Award. The award recognizes organizations, companies or individuals who have made significant contributions for the advancement of health, physical activity, and wellness. HOPSports serves as a best practice model that can be used nationwide.
New York City Chapter Board member ED HORNE will be leaving the NHL at the end of April after 15 years with the league.
Longtime San Francisco Chapter Board Member PAT GALLAGHER announced that he is leaving the Giants after 32 years.  Gallagher, an early pioneer of sports marketing and a driving force in changing the way Major League Baseball marketed itself to fans, came to the Giants in 1976, shortly after Bob Lurie saved the franchise from moving to Toronto. For more than 20 years, he served as the senior vice president for business operations, overseeing various aspects of the non-baseball business for the club, including advertising, promotions, public relations, sales and marketing, ballpark operations and community relations. David was an authority on NASCAR and we are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with him. He will be missed.
